Logan Hosts Herbert Hoover With Playoff Bid On The Line

The 14th-ranked Logan Wildcats head into the final week of the season looking to secure a playoff spot. In order to do that they will need to defeat the 11th-ranked Herbert Hoover Huskies.

The Wildcats (6-3) don’t necessarily have to win, but a loss would severely damage their chances of making the playoff field.

Drew Berry will handle the quarterback duties. Berry took over the position when Jaxon Cogar suffered an injury. Berry has filled in admirably. Two game s ago, he threw for 206 yards and 4 touchdowns on 12-of-18 passing.

Aiden Slack has been Logan’s top receiver this season. Slack has 8 touchdown receptions so far this season. Julius Clancy has 5 touchdown catches, and Garrett Williamson has snagged 4 touchdown grabs.

The Huskies (6-2) have won their last six games and appear to be solidly in the playoffs.

Herbert Hoover is led by versatile quarterback Dane Hatfield. Logan will need to account for both his throwing and running ability.

The opening kick is set for 7 pm on Friday in Logan.
