The Paintsville Tigers are off to an impressive start to their 2022 campaign, beginning their season with an undefeated record of 11-0.
On August 31st, Paintsville would begin 15th Region All-A tournament play against the Martin County Cardinals. Paintsville won this game in two sets, advancing them to the next round against the Pikeville Panthers. On September 6th, the Tigers would once again win in two sets, advancing them to the championship game of the 15th Region All-A Tournament.
Wednesday night against a very talented Betsy Layne team, Paintsville would come out with a trophy on their mind. Paintsville won the first set with a score of 25-12. The LadyCats would try to claw their way back in the second set, but the Tigers found a way to withstand the grit and determination of their opponent. The Paintsville Tigers took the second set with a score of 25-23, securing their 15th Region All-A Tournament championship!
Congratulations to the Paintsville Tigers volleyball program on a piece of hardware to add to the trophy case. The Tigers now have their eyes set on a 15th Region championship at the end of the year.
This weekend, the Paintsville Tigers will make a trip to Sevierville, Tennessee; looking to make noise in the Rocky Top Classic. With momentum and the talent needed to succeed on their side, there’s a great shot these young ladies will be written about again soon.
