The 3rd ranked Tug Valley Lady Panthers moved to 10-2 on the season as they picked up the win over the 8th ranked Tolsia Lady Rebels, 54-33, on Tuesday in Naugatuck.
The Lady Panthers jumped out early and grabbed a 15-7 lead after the opening period. They stretched out the lead in the second quarter and held a 27-13 lead at the half.
Tug Valley continued to stretch out its lead and held a 44-22 lead after three quarters. They were able to hold off the Lady Rebels (2-6) from there.
Kenzie Browning paced Tug Valley with 20 points. Bailee Hall followed with 14 points. Haven Deskins added 9 points. Katie Hall scored 5 points. Katelynn Richardson netted 4 points. Kylie DeBoard finished with 2 points.
Emily Artrip led Tolsia with 11 points. Jacey Crum followed with 6 points. Olivia Kelly and Kalynn Salmons added 4 points each. Piper Pack, Greenlee Vance, Carly Johnson and Amber Stevens finished with 2 points apiece.
The Lady Panthers next play at Ripley on Friday.
Tolsia will host Man on Thursday.
