Lady Wildcats Fall In Tight Game At 2nd Ranked Williamstown

The 5th ranked Logan Lady Wildcats had a disastrous fourth quarter as they dropped a tough match up with the Williamstown Lady Yellow Jackets, 48-41, on Saturday in Williamstown.

Williamstown jumped out to an early lead, but Addyson Amick hit a bucket as the clock wound down to cut the Lady Jackets’ lead to 16-12 after the first quarter.

The Lady Wildcats clawed back in the second quarter and snagged a 28-26 lead at the intermission. Logan maintained its lead in the third period and held a 39-35 lead following the fourth quarter.

However, Logan would go cold in the final period, only getting a basket from Amick as they fell 48-41.

For Logan, Halle Crouse led the way with 12 points. Bam Mosby followed with 11 points. Amick and Payton Butcher scored 7 points each. Kayden Compton finished with 4 points.

Gracie Montgomery and Faith Pickens scored 14 points each to lead Williamstown.

The Lady Wildcats are scheduled to see this same Williamstown team on January 3rd. This time, Logan will be playing at Willie Akers Arena.
