The Wayne Lady Pioneers moved to 4-2 with a 61-34 win over Summers County in the Cowan-Spangler Memorial Tournament on Friday at Ritchie County High School.
The Lady Pioneers are looking to get back to the Class AAA state tournament and bring home a state championship. They sure have a group capable of doing so.
Jayce Sammons led the way with 27 points. Brooke Adkins followed with 12 points. Mikayla Stacy fired in 9 points. Addie Adkins scored 8 points. Kinley Runyon added 3 points. Kiya Brown finished with 2 points.
Wayne next plays on Saturday in a match up with host Ritchie County in the Cowan-Spangler Memorial Tournament.
