The Tug Valley Lady Panthers moved to 3-0 as they picked up a road win over the Tolsia Lady Rebels, 59-35, on Thursday at Rebel Arena.
Tug Valley and Tolsia (1-1) battled through a hard fought first period as the Lady Panthers held a 13-10 lead heading into the second quarter. There, the Lady Panthers extended their lead to 28-17 at the intermission.
The Lady Panthers put the game out of reach in the third period as they stretched the advantage out to 45-29. They then outscored the Lady Rebels 14-6 over the final quarter for the final margin of victory.
For Tug Valley, Bailee Hall had a monster double-double with 19 points and 19 rebounds. Kenzie Browning also had 19 points. Haven Deskins followed with 12 points. Kylie DeBoard added 8 points. Katie Hall finished with 1 point.
For the Lady Rebels, Emily Artrip and Piper Pack led the way with 7 points each. Kalynn Salmons and Carly Johnson followed with 6 points apiece. Jacey Crum scored 4 points. Olivia Kelly chipped in with 3 points. Amber Stevens finished with 2 points.
Tug Valley will next play Prestonsburg on Saturday at East Ridge in the East Ridge Mountain Showcase at 4:15 pm. Tolsia is set to play at Rock Hill, OH on Saturday at 2 pm.
