The Tug Valley Lady Panthers moved to 2-0 on the season as they picked up a 55-37 win over the Huntington St Joe Lady Irish on Tuesday at the Cam Henderson Center in Huntington.
The Lady Panthers jumped out of the gate and took an 18-11 lead after the first period. Tug Valley stretched out the lead to 31-17 at the intermission.
Tug Valley stretched the lead out to 48-27 after three quarters and then coasted over the final period for the final score.
Kenzie Browning led the Lady Panthers with 18 points. Haven Deskins followed with 15 points. Kylie DeBoard fired in 11 points. Bailee Hall scored 6 points. Katie Hall finished with 5 points.
For St Joe (0-2), Ava Gallion led the way with 11 points. Mariah Johnson had 8 points. Candra Frazier and Claire Little scored 5 points apiece. Amira Stubblefield, Addy Gallion and Carmen Yemba each finished with 2 points.
Tug Valley will next play on Wednesday when Van comes to visit Naugatuck. The Lady Irish travel to Greenbrier East on Friday.
