The Letcher County Central Cougars picked up a big win as they rolled past the home standing Perry County Central Commodores, 52-7, on Friday.
For the Cougars (4-4), Gunner Holbrook completed 10-of-12 passes for 220 yards and 3 touchdowns. He also carried the ball 5 times for 36 yards and 1 touchdown.
Brett Smith had 3 carries for 83 yards and 1 touchdown while also catching 4 passes for 61 yards and 2 touchdowns. Quinton Williams had 8 carries for 31 yards and 1 touchdown while also completing 1 pass for 17 yards. Garrett Howard added a 2-yard touchdown run.
Gavin Brown had 2 catches for 84 yards. Dawson Kincer had 72 yards on 3 receptions. Keaston Branham had 2 catches for 20 yards and 1 touchdown.
Defensively, Koby Johnson led the way with 11 tackles. Colton Stidham had 10 tackles. Jett Outlaw had 2 interceptions. Kincer and Mason Stephens each had 1 interception. Stephens returned his pick 30 yards for a touchdown.
For the Commodores (4-4), Aaron Johnson completed 8-of-15 passes for 50 yards and 4 interceptions. Parker Maggard was 3-of-3 passing for 30 yards.
Colin Combs had 13 carries for 48 yards and 1 touchdown. Kaiden Gibson added 12 yards on 6 rushing attempts.
Derrick Field had 8 catches for 60 yards. Wyatt Minks, Caleb Combs and Tyler Robinson all had 1 reception apiece.
The Cougars will host Whitley County on Friday. The Commodores will host Corbin
