Cougars Look To Rebound At Perry County Central

The Letcher County Central Cougars look to bounce back but standing in their way is a good Perry County Central Commodore squad. The two teams cash in what promises to be a great contest at Perry County Central on Friday.

The Cougars (3-4), coached by Charles Matthews, fell to powerhouse Corbin, 35-0 last weekend.

Letcher County Central will have Gunner Holbrook at quarterback. Holbrook has completed 64-of-117 passes for 1,067 yards, 10 touchdowns and 8 interceptions. He also has 2 rushing touchdowns so far this season.

Quinton Williams, Koby Johnson and Brett Smith give the Cougars a three-headed rushing attack. Williams has led the way with 370 yards and 7 touchdowns this season.

Gavin Brown is one of the top receivers in the Mountains. So far this season, he has 26 catches for 462 yards and 4 touchdowns.

The Commodores (4-3), coached by Mark Dixon, come into the game after losing a tough one to Whitley County, 17-14.

Aaron Johnson handles the quarterback duties for Perry County Central. This season, he has completed 50-of-90 passes for 711 yards, 4 touchdowns and 4 interceptions.

Kaiden Gibson is having a phenomenal year with 87 carries for 706 yards and 8 touchdowns. Colin Combs is also having a great season with 471 yards and 8 touchdowns on 101 rushing attempts.

Derrick Fields is the top wide receiver for the Commodores. This season, he has 20 catches for 376 yards and 2 touchdowns.
