Skyhawks Soar Past Chapmanville

The Scott Skyhawks picked up a big home win on Friday as they defeated the Chapmanville Tigers, 41-7, in West Madison.

Nate Easterling completed 13-of-19 passes for 173 yards and 3 touchdowns. Cole Elkins was 1-of-1 for 30 yards and 1 touchdown.

Carson Brinegar had 5 carries for 71 yards and 1 touchdown while also catching 8 passes for 98 yards and 1 touchdown. David Fennessy had 17 carries for 65 yards and 1 touchdown. Caden Sutphin picked up 20 yards on 7 rushing attempts.

Brayden Clark hauled in 4 passes for 65 yards and 2 touchdowns. Isaiah Bush had 40 yards and 1 touchdown on 2 catches.

Defensively, Ty Mitchell led the Skyhawks with 13 tackles, including 2 tackles for a loss. Bush and Brinegar each added an interception.

Scott (2-2) is scheduled to play at Mingo Central on Friday. Chapmanville (1-4) will host Herbert Hoover.
