The Tug Valley Panthers picked up a huge win on Friday as they went on the road to defeat the Logan Wildcats, 13-6, on the Island.
The Panthers (3-0) scored midway through the opening period when quarterback Preston May connected with Ashton Davis in the end zone for a 9-yard touchdown pass. Aiden Bosserman’s PAT kick gave Tug Valley a 7-0 lead.
Logan (1-2) answered early in the second quarter when Adam Baiden completed a pass to Lucas Lambert who then raced down the field for an 85-yard touchdown reception. The PAT kick was no good and Tug Valley maintained a slim 7-6 lead.
Tug Valley added a touchdown in the third period when May found Bryson Elia on 4th down from 1 yard out for a touchdown pass. The PAT kick missed to the right, though. And the Panthers held a 13-6 advantage.
The Wildcats had some opportunities late, but a Cane Thompson interception late sealed the deal for the Panthers.
