Hillbillies Host Westside In Battle Of Unbeatens

The Man Hillbillies and Westside Renegades battle it out in a clash of two teams off to a hot start, but only one can keep their unblemished record intact as that meet at Man’s George A. Queen Memorial Field on Friday.

The Hillbillies, coached by Harvey Arms, come into the contest after defeating Mount View, 35-0, at home last weekend.

Devon Sanders will run the show for Man. He completed 7-of-12 passes for 101 yards against Mount View and will need to play well on Friday.

The most explosive weapon for the Hillbillies is Trey Ward. This past weekend, Ward returned the opening kickoff 80 yards for a touchdown while also scoring on a 55-yard touchdown run.

Dusten Baisden is a huge weapon in the backfield for Man. Against Mount View he carried the ball 7 times for 62 yards and 3 touchdowns.

Westside, coached by Justin Cogar, will invade Man after getting a big 21-20 win over Mingo Central this past weekend at home.

Quarterback Kadien Vance will lead the Renegades into battle. Against Mingo Central, Vance completed 13-of-23 passes for 142 yards, 1 touchdown and 1 interception. He also showed off he legs, carrying the ball 30 times for 177 yards and 1 touchdown.

Kyler Kenneda leads a talented receiving corps for Westside. Last week, Kenneda caught 3 passes for 71 yards and 1 touchdown.

This will be one of the biggest games in Southern West Virginia this weekend, and you don’t want to miss it!
