The OPB Swish moved to 3-2 on the season as they took the Gastonia Greyhounds to the woodshed in a 102-41 win on Saturday at Martin County High School in Inez.
The Swish jumped out of the gate early and had a 29-10 advantage at the end of the opening quarter. The lead grew to 57-21 at the intermission with the Swish holding a commanding lead.
From there, the Swish cruised in the second half to pick up the big win in front of the home crowd.
Makayla Epps led the way for the Swish with 19 points. Dasia Thornton followed with 18 points and 10 rebounds. Dena Jarrells finished with 15 points and 5 assists. Carla Booth added 14 points. Kennedi Stacy fired in 13 points and pulled down 7 boards. Victoria Dunlap scored 10 points and grabbed 10 rebounds. Taylor Pearson had 7 points and 5 rebounds. Courtney Gillman-Fletcher finished with 6 points.
With the win, the Swish are now in second place in the South Division, trailing only the Raleigh Aces (4-0).
The Swish are next scheduled to be in action on Saturday when they host the Atlanta Angels at Martin County High School in Inez. The opening tip is set for 6 pm.
