Aidan Burke is a dynamic two-way playmaker who is the very definition of “athlete” – meaning he can play multiple positions and play them well. He has the speed and power coming out of the backfield, and if he hits that sideline, it’s bye bye. He has very soft hands and creates big problems for the defense. When he is on defense, he just has a real nose for the ball. He reads the filed well and will absolutely light up an opposing player.

This past season, Aidan season had 13 total TDs, 60 tackles, 11 pass breakups, 4 picks (one he took to the house), 37 receptions for 507 yards and 9 rushes for 202 yards. He was named 1st Team All-State on defense. His team will be very solid on both sides of the ball, and that has him fired up for this upcoming season. Last season, his team fell short – losing by a touchdown in the first round of playoffs, and that left him with a very bad taste in his mouth. He and his teammates have put in the work all offseason long to ensure that history doesn’t repeat itself. He said that watching LeQues Strother, who plays linebacker for his team, make a big hit and stuff someone absolutely fires him up.

The thing that impresses me the most about this kid is his tenacity and mental toughness. He said “Football isn’t easy. It can be frustrating, tiring and painful, but with all of those things there are so many great moments and lessons to be learned. It teaches you to be both mentally and physically strong, how to be a leader, how to be a team player and how to keep your composure.”

To him, football is more than just a game. To him, the game means everything, and that is exactly why he has worked so hard for so long and will always give 110% effort. His dream is to play at the FBS D1 level. He would like a school with top notch facilities, coaches and team doctors.

He was quick to mention just how important it is to him to mentor the younger players since they are the future of the program. He also gave high praise to his coaching staff for helping him get better and better each and every day. My personal assessment is this kid can be an absolute program changer. He has all the intangibles that simply can’t be taught. It is just who he is.

Whether on offense or defense, Burke will impact every single game. His passion and fire are infectious and great for team chemistry. Any coach will be lucky to have him on their team. I will absolutely be coming to watch his games this upcoming season. I look forward to watching him develop, as he continues on his journey. Keep a close eye on this kid. Trust me!
