Swish Fights Hard But Falls To Aces

The OPB Swish moved to 1-2 on the season as they fell in a hard fought battle with the Raleigh Aces, 95-88, in Raleigh on Saturday.

Makayla Epps led the Swish with 19 points. JaVonna Layfield followed with 16 points. Carla Booth added 13 points. Dasia Thornton had 12 points. E’moni Washington had 8 points. Dena Jarrells, Katie Fuller and Kennedi Stacy fired in 6 points each. Taylor Pearson chipped in with 2 points.

Imani Watkins led the Aces with 28 points. Jasmine Carter followed with 18 points. Jamie Cherry and Tiana Edwards fired in 12 points each. Grace Hunter scored 10 points. L’oreal Gamble scored 6 points. Christina Carter had 5 points. Whitney Knight finished with 4 points.

The Swish performed much better against Raleigh this week after falling to the Aces 128-84 a week ago.

The OPB Swish will next be in action on Sunday when they play on the road at the Greensboro Kaos.
