Kermit’s own Davey Jude won the Mountain State Golf Classic on Monday at The Cobb Course at The Resort at Glade Springs in Daniels.
Jude, a former Tug Valley golf great and Marshall golf alum, blistered the competition by shooting -12 for the event, including a -5 for the final round. The closest competitor to Jude was Bryson Beaver who shot a -3 for the tournament.
With the win, Jude has now won the Mountain State Golf Classic four times, which is tied for second with Brandon Reece. Jude is now just two victories behind Mike Mays’ record of six wins in the event.
