The Scott Skyhawks scored three runs in the bottom of the 7th inning to defeat the Logan Wildcats, 4-3, in a dramatic ending for the Class AA Region IV Section 2 championship on Saturday in West Madison.
With Logan leading 3-1, the Skyhawks had the bases loaded with 1 out, Luke Knight singled to center field. The ball was misplayed and all three runners were able to score, sparking a celebration.
Knight led the Skyhawks at the plate with 2 singles and 2 RBIs. Louden White, Carter McClung, Austin Light and Nick Miller all had singles in the win.
For Logan, Jayce Wolfe had 2 singles. Alton Ellis, Ivan Miller, Luke Blankenship and Gage Hensley recorded a single each.
Light got the win on the mound, allowing no earned runs on 6 hits while striking out 4 batters over 7 innings pitched. Miller was given the loss.
Scott will next face Winfield in the Class AA Region IV championship.
