The Chapmanville Lady Tigers won the Class AA Region IV Section 2 Championship on Tuesday as they defeated the Logan Lady Wildcats, 8-5, in Wayne.
Chapmanville was led at the plate by Laken Parks who had a single, double and triple while recording 2 RBIs. Shae Conley had 2 singles. Erica Sigmon had a single and 2 RBIs. Evy Altizer had a single and 1 RBI.
For Logan, Harlee Quick had a home run, double and single while recording 1 RBI. Ashlin Brumfield had a homer, 2 singles and 1 RBI. Kaylie Coleman added 2 doubles, a single and 1 RBI. Lacy Curry had a home run and 1 RBI.
Chloe Murphy earned the win for the Lady Tigers by allowing 3 earned runs on 10 hits while striking out 14 batters over 7 innings. Myleigh Adkins was given the loss for Logan.
Chapmanville will next face Winfield in the Class AA Region IV championship next week.
