Peyton Fields struck out 17 batters as the Hazard Lady Bulldogs won at Leslie County, 12-0, to win the 14th Region All A Championship on Thursday.
Fields was dynamic in the pitcher’s circle and at the plate. In addition to her 17 strikeouts, she only allowed 3 hits to get the win. At the plate, she had a triple, 2 singles and 4 RBIs.
Ryleigh Griffith recorded a double and 2 singles for Hazard. Mikayla Shepherd added a home run, a double and 3 RBIs. Mallory Combs had 2 singles and 2 RBIs. Halle Jones, Braylynn Eddington, Kaydence Stollings and Reagan Elkins each garnered a single.
The Lady Bulldogs will next play on Monday at Pike County Central.
