Chloe Murphy pitched a perfect game as the Chapmanville Lady Tigers handed top ranked (Class AA) Herbert Hoover its first loss of the year, 3-0, on Wednesday in Chapmanville.
Brooke Christian hit a two-run home run in the bottom of the 1st inning to lead the Lady Tigers at the plate. Murphy added an RBI single for the game’s only other run in the bottom of the 3rd inning.
Murphy finished with two singles on the day. Charity Atwood added two singles. Hannah Miller had a double. Laken Parks also added a single.
Murphy was sensational in the pitcher’s circle, striking out 13-of-21 batters faced over the previously unbeaten Huskies.
Chapmanville will next play on Thursday by hosting Winfield.
