The Tug Valley Panthers moved to 5-5 on the season with two wins over visiting Wirt County in Naugatuck.

Julian Vance drove home Austin Smith in the bottom of the 7th inning to give the Panthers a walk off win, 3-2, in Game 1 of the doubleheader.
Vance had 2 singles and recorded 2 RBIs. Ashton Smith had a single, a triple and 2 runs scored. Elijah Fluty recorded 2 singles. Conner Lackey had a single and 1 RBI. Dakota Ooten had a single. Austin Smith scored 1 run.
Lackey got the win on the mound after allowing no runs or hits in 1 inning pitched while striking out 2 batters.

The Panthers jumped out early and never looked back in the second game as they pulled away with a 9-0 win.
Vance had 2 singles, a triple, 2 RBIs and 2 runs scored. Lackey had 2 singles, a double, 2 RBIs and 2 runs scored. Gavin Fitzpatrick had a double, 2 RBIs and 1 run scored. Ashton Smith recorded a single and 2 runs scored. Austin Smith and Jacob Jones each had 1 run scored for Tug Valley.
Vance got the win on the mound after allowing only 1 hit and striking out 1 batter in 2 innings pitched.
Tug Valley will next play Man on Monday in Naugatuck.
