Local teams are well represented in the first MetroNews Softball Coaches Poll of the season across all classes.
Class A
The Tug Valley Lady Panthers are currently ranked 5th in Class A after a 9-1 start. The Lady Panthers are hoping to follow the cheer and boys basketball squads to bring another state title to Naugatuck.

Class AA
The Logan Lady Wildcats are tied for first in the Class AA poll. Chapmanville is 3rd, making Logan County a hotbed for Class AA baseball. Scott is also looking strong and is currently ranked 10th. Any of these teams are capable of a run at the title at season’s end.
