Hawks Soar Past Tug Valley

The Pike County Central Hawks picked up a win on Friday as they defeated the Tug Valley Panthers, 11-9, at home on Friday.

For the Hawks, Cameron Shearer and Trevor Holbrook each had a double, single and 3 RBIs. Caleb Mouton recorded 2 singles and 2 RBIs. Kaden Crum had 1 double and 1 RBI. Warren Newsome had a double. Jonah Hicks finished with a single.

The Panthers were led by Julian Vance’s 3 singles and 4 runs scored. Connor Lackey had a double and 2 RBI. Zachary Hall added 2 singles and 1 RBI. Dakota Ooten had a double and 1 RBI. Gage White and Chandler Copley recorded 1 hit and 1 RBI. Elijah Fluty added 1 single.

Jonah Hicks got the win for Pike County Central after allowing only 2 earned runs on 9 hits while striking out 3 batters in 4.1 innings pitched. Hall was given the loss for Tug Valley.

The Hawks will next play on Tuesday at the Cal Ripken Experience in Myrtle Beach, SC. Tug Valley will play at Wayne on Monday.
