The Logan Wildcats (16-9) jumped on top early and never looked back as earned a 50-33 win over the Ripley Vikings (11-14) the Class AAA Region IV Co-Championship at Willie Akers Arena on Wednesday.
It was the eighth win in a row for first-year head coach Jeff “Hoopie” Williamson’s squad. The Wildcats have really improved throughout the season and are peaking at the right time.
Logan took a 14-7 first quarter lead and then extended it to 31-13 at the intermission.The Wildcats were able to hold on in the second half to get the win.

Julius Clancy led the Wildcats with 17 points. McCormick Ilderton followed with 13 points. Ivan Miller fired in 10 points. Cole Blankenship and Zayden Sherod scored 4 points each.
Logan earned the 5th seed in the Class AAA boys State Tournament and will face East Fairmont on Tuesday at 9 pm.
