Wesley Christian Back In NACA National Championship Game

The Wesley Christian Circuit Riders are back in the National Association of Christian Athletes Division 2 National Championship on Friday in Dayton, TN for the first time since 2019.

The Circuit Riders, coached by Shawn Ward, are 15-22 on the season and led by 6’8″ Senior Adame Oertani who picked up an offer from a D1 Junior College earlier this week. The Riders also have Nikita Bolshov who poured in 19 points and dished out 10 assists in the semi final round to help Wesley Christian reach the title game.

Sackey Sefa is a 6’8″ sophomore that can fly above the rim. Junior Victor Okejie has gained a lot of Division I interest from Chattanooga, Utah State and Davidson. He has been fantastic on the boards, averaging 10.5 rebounds per game. Fedor Portnoi has found his touch with the mid range jumper as he’s averaging 9.5 points 5.0 assists and 6.0 rebounds per game.

Sharp shooter Kacper Wójciga has averaged double digit scoring for the Riders off the bench in all the games this tournament. Wójciga also holds the record for 122 3-point field goals in a single season, breaking the record of former Wesley Christian star Miki Tadic, who is now at Rio Grande. Kacper Wójciga averages 5-to-7 3-pointers per game for the Circuit Riders.

Wesley Christian’s JV will play Bob Jones in the Boys Invitational Championship at 9 am.

The Wesley Christian National team faces Immanuel Christian in the Division 2 National Championship at 1:30 pm.
