The Phelps Lady Hornets moved to 16-12 with a pair of recent wins.
First, Phelps defeated Jenkins on the road, 48-41. They then turned around and beat Magoffin County at home, 63-42.
The Lady Hornets were led in scoring both games by sophomore guard Caleigh McCoy. Against Jenkins, McCoy had 17 points. Kylea Weddington had 13 points and 13 rebounds. Kaylyn Slone added 12 points and 11 boards. Charity Mounts scored 4 points. Faith Potter finished with 2 points.
Against Magoffin County, McCoy had 23 points. Slone scored 12 points. Weddington had 10 points and 10 rebounds. Bailey Norman recorded 7 points. Potter added 6 points. Mounts chipped in with 5 points.
Phelps will next play at home on Tuesday against Betsy Layne. The opening tip is set for 6 pm.
