Dylan Boyd, 6’2″ , 200, c/o 2026 from Floyd Central High School, KY is a ruthless 3-point scoring machine. Give him any space and it’s lights out. Dylan can flat out shoot and get red hot in a hurry. With his incredible long range shooting Dylan stretches the floor and can effectively attack off the bounce and score on the other two levels. He is versatile enough to play the 2, 3 or 4 with the size to hold his own and the strength to overpower others at times. Dylan can mix it up on the boards effectively as well.
Last year, Dylan averaged 5.9 points per game while shooting 59% and making 39 3-point baskets while adding 2.0 rebounds. During the AAU session playing for 606 Elite, he blew up for 20 points and 7 rebounds per game. Dylan’s fondest memory was while playing in a semifinals game at Rocky Top in Gatlinburg,TN. The game was tied with 30 seconds to go and out of a timeout. An ISO play was run, the point guard kicked it out to Dylan and he nailed the long range bomb for the win.
This season, Dylan is averaging 11.7 points with 44 made 3-pointers and 4.2 rebounds in less than half the season. Those stats have earned him the 346 spot in the nation – #5 in the state of KY and #1 in District 58. Dylan’s biggest improvement has been his strength and confidence. With the help of his trainer, Dylan put in countless hours of hard work training and in the weight room. Dylan’s goals are to make a serious run at the regional tournament and possibly make a strong run at the state.
Dylan’s love for the game, his work ethic and desire to win set him apart and pushes him to excel more and more. That versatility to play three positions and handle the ball well is huge at opening up the floor. In my first visit to Eastern Kentucky Dylan went off for 10 3-point makes. He also won the sixth man of the year award at the WYMT Food City Classic. With a high ceiling and being coachable This star continues to improve. Dylan moves extremely well off the ball, finds open gaps and has a high IQ that sees the whole floor and looks for holes. You can’t lose him or he will light up the night. Dylan can play at any level. As he continues to work hard, Dylan hasn’t locked in on any division and is just grinding to get open every time.
