The Huntington St Joe Lady Irish picked up a road win at Tug Valley, 54-40, on Monday night in Naugatuck.
In a close first quarter, St Joe held a slim 14-13 lead. That advantage grew to 27-22 at the intermission. The Lady Irish then stretched the lead out to 44-32 after three periods. St Joe would maintain its lead from there.
Ava Gallion led the Irish with 24 points. Niko Kaufmann followed with 14 points. Sophie Ransbottom added 11 points. Mariah Johnson and Candra Frazier scored 2 points each. Lacee Smith finished with 1 point.
For Tug Valley, Bailee Hall set the pace with 23 points. Haven Deskins added 9 points. Brooke Spaulding scored 5 points. Katelynn Richardson chipped in with 3 points.
St Joe will play next Wednesday at Lincoln County in the regular season finale. Tug Valley will play at Mingo Central on Friday.
