The Pikeville Track and Field Team picked up some hardware at the Martin Luther King Weekend Invite Indoor Meet in Louisville. The event consisted of teams from Class 1A to 6A and squads from Ohio, Indiana and other states.
The Boys 4x200m relay team of Thomas Cranny, Khi Hairston, Eli Weatherford and Lucas Gayheart took home first place with a time of 1:51.40.
The Girls 4x400m relay team of Cadence Compton, Charlize Compton, Catharine Walters and Kenzi Joseph won with a time of 4:59.50.
Ijah Ferguson took home first place in the shot put and third place in the weighted throw. Drew Ferguson placed first in the weighted throw and second place in the shot put.
Charlize Compton finished first in the 13-14 year old triple jump. Lucas Gayheart placed first in the triple jump and second in the 60m dash.
Nicole Lin finished first in the triple jump and second in the 60m hurdles. Khi Hairston won the high jump to complete a successful event for the Panthers.
