The Wayne Lady Pioneers moved to 10-0 on the season as they defeated Nitro, 60-46, on Friday out Wayne.
Wayne jumped on top early and took a 14-6 advantage after the opening period. Nitro cut into the lead the second half, and the Lady Pioneers held a 25-21 advantage at the intermission. Nitro then tied it up at 39-39 heading into the fourth quarter. However, the Lady Pioneers would finish strong, outscoring Nitro, 21-7, in the final period to earn the win.
Brooke Adkins paced the Lady Pioneers with 18 points. Jaycelyn Sammons followed with 13 points. Mikayla Stacy added 11 points. Laneigh Brooks netted 10 points. Addie Adkins finished with 8 points.
The Lady Pioneers will next return to action at Winfield on Tuesday at 7 pm.
