Jaylan Rigdon and Jaden Stewart combined for 70 points to lead the Pike County Central Hawks to an 86-77 win over Floyd Central in the 2A Section 8 tournament at Pike County Central High School.
Rigdon fired in 39 points for the Hawks, coming up just two points short of the school record that is shared by Stewart and Hobo McCoy. Stewart also had a monster game with 31 points. Grant Hall followed with 6 points. Peyton Owens netted 4 points. Blake Adams and Kaden Crum finished with 3 points each.
Ronnie Sammons led the Jaguars with 20 points. Chris Spriggs followed with 15 points. Dawson Moore and Dylan Boyd followed with 14 points each. Brody Buck added 10 points. Logan Meade chipped in with 2 points.
Pike County Central will host the winner of Boyd County and Magoffin County for the 2A Section 8 championship on Saturday at 7:30 pm.
Floyd Central will host Rowan County on Saturday at 7:30 pm.
