The Pike County Central Lady Hawks picked up a win in the 2A Section 8 tournament against Floyd Central, 81-65, on Thursday at Pike County Central High School.
The Lady Hawks jumped out to a lead in the opening half and held a 40-31 lead at the intermission. From there, Pike County Central maintained its lead to get the win.
Hannah May led Pike County Central with 25 points. Larah Stanley followed with 14 points. Lindsey Bowman fired in 13 points. Abby May added 12 points. Abby Hess netted 11 points. Maggie Cochran scored 3 points. Jadyn Looney fired in 2 points. Cydney Snodgrass finished with 1 point.
Riley Jo Compton led all scorers for Floyd Central with 30 points. Kaylee Hall had 12 points in defeat.
The Lady Hawks will now host the winner of Boyd County and Lawrence County on Saturday in the 2A Section 8 championship at 6 pm.
Floyd Central will next host Paintsville on Wednesday at 7:30 pm.
