In a preview of future talent for two talented middle school programs, Chapmanville Middle’s JV team was able to pull away from Oceana Middle’s JV team in the second half to secure a 40-31 victory.
Ashton McClanahan led all scorers with 14 points making four big shots from behind the arc. Jaxon Neil added 6 points for the Tigers. Brock Carter dropped in 7 points, Carson Baldwin had 5 points, and Jermaine Farmer along with Ryland Dingess each added two points in the victory.
For Oceana, they were led by Malachi King who finished with 13 points. Jaiden Baker added 7 points in the defeat.
The Chapmanville Middle School Tigers are back in action today, December 29th and December 30th as they are hosting “Christmas in the ‘Ville”. The action will start at 3:00 PM when the Crum Middle Girls and Barboursville Middle Girls face off. That will be followed by Crum Middle School Boys and the Williamson Middle Boys at 4:30 PM. The Chapmanville Middle Girls and Williamson Middle Girls will then play at 6:00 PM and the night cap will be the Chapmanville Middle Boys against Jenkins Middle School at 7:30 PM.
