New WVSSAC Classifications Released For Six Sports

WVSSAC Classifications for six sports were released for the 2024-25 season on Wednesday. Basketball was already a four-class sport and will be joined by football, cheer, volleyball, baseball and softball.

Classifications have been determined by using a competitive balance formula, similar to what was in place for basketball. Enrollment is the dominant factor (80%), with location (10%) and economic (10%) scores included.
