Local elementary and middle school cheer squads did very well at the KAPOS Kentucky Cheer Championship over the weekend in Corbin.
Elkhorn City took home first place honors in the Elementary Small Division. Johns Creek brought home 3rd place honors in the competition.
West Perry won the Elementary Large Division. Pikeville finished second, giving local schools the top two spots. West Whitesburg finished 4th in the Elementary Game Day Division.
In the Middle School Small Division, Johns Creek took home third place. Pikeville was second in the Middle School Medium Division.
Belfry captured fourth place in the Middle School Large Division. Hazard finished third in the Middle School Super Large Division.
It was an amazing effort from all squads involved. Congratulations to all teams on their achievements!
