The Betsy Layne Ladycats improved to 4-2 on the season with a 69-48 win at Wolfe County on Wednesday.
Sophomore forward Kinleigh Martin had a career night with 31 points on 13-of-16 shooting while also pulling down 11 rebounds. Haleigh Damron followed with 14 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists. Jaden Pente shot 80& from the field for 10 points while also dishing out 6 assists. Mandy Collins saw some increased minutes and scored 7 points while grabbing 5 boards. Jayden Jarrell was stellar on the defensive end and pulled down 6 rebounds while dishing out 4 assists and recording 6 steals.
The Ladycats have won its last two games heading into a big 58th District clash at Floyd Central on Friday. The opening tip is set for 6 pm.
