Bath County Lady Cats Off To A Great Start

The Bath County Lady Cats are 4-0 on the young season. Thus far they have defeated Bourbon County, Nicholas County, East Carter, and Lewis County. Their most recent victory was a 52-29 win over Lewis County in the Eastern Kentucky Conference Tournament.

In the win over Lewis County, the Lady Cats were led in scoring by Ashtyn Barrett with 13 points. Barrett was 3 for 3 from beyond the arc. Jerrika Norris had 10 points and 8 rebounds for the Lady Cats in the win. Bayley French had 8 points and 8 rebounds. Addi Metz added 7 points for the Lady Cats. Kyra Faried had 4 points. Natalie Ratliff added 3 points. Josie Reed, Ellyssa Gordon, and Lexie Tiller each had 2 points apiece. Kaylee Crouch had 1 point to round out the scoring for the Lady Cats.

Through the first four games of the season, Ashtyn Barrett is averaging 23 points per game and 4 rebounds per game. Bayley French is second in scoring for the Lady Cats, averaging 14.2 points per game and is shooting 57.1% from the field. Jerrika Norris is averaging 6.2 points per game and 5.2 rebounds per game.

The Lady Cats are back in action on Thursday, Dec. 7th in the Eastern Kentucky Conference Tournament when they face the Russell Red Devils (2-0).

The Red Devils are led by Shaelyn Steele. Steele is averaging 19.0 points per game. Bella Quinn is second in scoring for the Red Devils, averaging 15.5 points per game. Kennedy Darnell is averaging 8.5 points per game.

This is an early matchup between two of top teams in the 16th region and should be a battle. Tipoff is set for 6:00 p.m. You will want to get out to this game at Bath County.
