Allie Stone dropped in 26 points as the UPike Women defeated Langston, 78-62, on Saturday in Kingsport, TN.
After each team scored 17 points in the opening frame, UPike (4-2) outscored Langston (4-1), 28-14, in the second period to take a 45-31 lead into the half. The Bears were able to hold off Langston for the second half to get the win.
Stone had 7 rebounds to go along with her 26 points. Rachel Bush had 16 points and 9 rebounds. Bailey Frazier had 15 points. Morgan Stamper had 7 points and 7 boards. Bailey Birchfield scored 7 points. India Blyth chipped in 4 points. Jaidy Mejia-Andrade
Hailey Jordan led Langston with 19 points.
UPike will next be in action on Sunday in a clash with West Virginia Tech in Kingsport, TN at 2:30 pm.
