The 7th seed (Class A) Tug Valley Panthers saw their season come to an end in a 42-0 loss at the 2nd seed Tucker County Mountain Lions on Saturday in Parsons.
The Panthers (9-3) held close for a bit, but Tucker County (12-0) pulled away in the second half.
Bryson Elia completed 3-of-10 passes for 10 yards and 1 interception in relief of injured quarterback Preston May. He also carried the ball 16 times for 46 yards.
Adam Slone had 8 carries for 34 yards. Cameron Slone had 4 carries for 26 yards. Buddy Marcum finished with 4 carries for 13 yards.
Defensively, Cane Thompson led the way with 21 tackles, including 1 tackle for a loss. Buddy Marcum had 14 tackles, including 4 for a loss.
Tucker County was led by quarterback Ethan Rosenau, who completed 16-of-21 passes for 196 yards and 3 touchdowns. Jared Reall had 27 carries for 137 yards and 2 touchdowns.
Tug Valley finishes with one of the best seasons in school history at 9-3.
