The Alice Lloyd Eagles jumped out early and then held on to pick up an 89-72 win over the Boyce Bulldogs on Friday in Louisville.
The Eagles jumped out to a commanding 49-28 lead at the intermission. From there, they coasted to the win.
Ben Soumahoro led the way with 17 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists. Jared Strickland and Jacob Curry fired in 13 points each. Jack Brown scored 10 points. Landon Napier and Jackson Tackett fired in 7 points each. Koji Anderson and Blaine Keathley each scored 6 points. Wilgus Tolson had 5 points. Brady Nelson added 4 points. Devonte Robinson finished with 1 point.
Boyce was led by Brody Madeira’s 30 points.
The Eagles will next play at Asbury University on Saturday at 3 pm.
