Friday Night Football Playoff Preview: East Carter Hosts Lloyd Memorial

The East Carter Raiders (8-2) have won 6 straight games and will be looking to extend their win streak to 7 this Friday. The Lloyd Memorial Juggernauts (10-1) stand in their way. The Juggernauts bring a 3-game winning streak into the matchup.

The Juggernauts are averaging 40.2 points per game this season and are only allowing 11.3 points per game this season. The juggernauts have only allowed a total of 124 points all season, which is the fewest allowed in Class 3A.

Lloyd Memorial’s offense is very run heavy. The Juggernauts are averaging 215.2 yards per game rushing and have 40 rushing touchdowns. Yurii Collins Comer leads the rushing attack with 105 carries for 944 rushing yards and 14 rushing touchdowns. Isaiah Sebastian has 76 carries for 738 rushing yards and 9 rushing touchdowns. Seth Moran has 6 rushing touchdowns.

Lloyd Memorial’s QB, Kaleb Evans, is coming off a strong performance last week. In last week’s game, Evans completed 10 of 15 passes for 133 yards and 3 touchdowns. Evans has completed 38 of 51 passes for 457 yards and 8 touchdowns in 3 games this season. Tyler Copeland has 20 receptions for 347 yards and 6 touchdown receptions.

East Carter is averaging 31.3 points per game and are allowing 18.7 points per game. However, over the last 3 games the Raiders are only allowing 11.3 points per game. East Carter also relies on the running game. The Raiders are averaging 201.9 rushing yards per game this season and have scored 28 rushing touchdowns. The Raiders are averaging 108.1 passing yards per game this season.

Landon Yoak has been a work horse for the Raiders all season. Yoak has 150 carries for 996 rushing yards and 16 rushing touchdowns. Bryer Holbrook has 326 rushing yards and 3 rushing touchdowns this season. Ryland Pfau has 322 rushing yards and 5 rushing touchdowns.

Raiders’ QB, Quentin Johnson, has completed 77 of 132 passes for 1,081 passing yards and 11 touchdowns. Gabe Roberts has 7 touchdown receptions. Michael Hall has 4 touchdown receptions.

Only one team can advance to the next round of the playoffs. The Raiders will look to get Yoak going early and often in hopes that the Raiders can control the line of scrimmage and control the game. Lloyd Memorial will look to continue their defensive dominance, while controlling the game with their running attack. It’s Raiders vs. Juggernauts this Friday, Nov. 10th in Grayson, KY.
