The Russell Red Devils take care of business against the Bourbon County Colonels, and win easily 42-8.
The Red Devils would strike early and often in the first half and had the game in hand by halftime. Andre Richardson-Crews would get the party started with a 1-yard touchdown run and after the PAT, the Red Devils would lead 7-0.
Just a little over 4 minutes later, Ethan Pack ran in from 5 yards out and extended the lead to 14-0.
Pack would score again with 10 minutes remaining in the 2nd quarter. This time he would break loose for a 15-yard touchdown run.
Less than 4 minutes later, Pack would connect with Parker Mitchell for a 23-yard touchdown pass. With less than a minute remaining in the half, Richardson-Crews would score his second touchdown run. This one from the 1-yard line. The score at halftime would stand 35-0 in favor of Russell.
At the 8:23 mark in the third quarter, Pack would connect with Mitchell once again. This time would result in a 27-yard touchdown pass, to extend the Red Devils lead to 42-0.
Bourbon County would get on the scoreboard in the 4th quarter. John Kincade would break free for a 37-yard touchdown run. Aidan Muntz would run in for the 2-point conversion and the score would stand 42-8.
Russell QB, Ethan Pack completed 7 of 10 passes for 118 yards and 2 touchdowns. Pack also ran the ball 7 times for 65 yards and 2 rushing touchdowns. Andre Richardson-Crews carried the ball 8 times for 63 yards and 2 rushing touchdowns. In total, the Red Devils ran for 242 rushing yards and 4 rushing touchdowns.
Parker Mitchell finished with 3 receptions for 59 yards and 2 touchdown receptions.
The Red Devils (7-4) will now turn their attention to Lexington Catholic (7-4). Russell travels to Lexington Catholic this coming Friday, Nov. 10th. Kickoff is set for 8:00 p.m.
