The 7th ranked (Class A) Man Hillbillies hope to secure a home game in the playoffs, but they first must beat the county rival Chapmanville Tigers.
Man (7-2) comes into the game after a thrilling 22-21 over Tug Valley last week.
Devon Sanders completed 5-of-10 passes for 147 yards and 2 touchdowns.
Trey Ward was Sanders’ top target last week. Ward caught 2 passes for 100 yards and 2 touchdowns. He also returned a kickoff for a touchdown in the dramatic win.
The Hillbillies will want to run the ball better this week. Dusten Baisden’s was the team’s leading rusher against Tug Valley. Baisden had 8 carries for 37 yards.
Chapmanville (4-5) will hope to have quarterback Robert Cook back after missing a couple of starts. Cook is vital to both the Tigers’ passing and rushing attack. If Cook is unable to go, Nate Easterling, who has performed admirably in his absence, will handle the duties.
Jeremy Collins and Elijah Pridemore give the Tigers a solid backfield. Wide receiver Austin Adkins give Chapmanville a top notch weapon in the passing game.
The opening kick is set for 7 pm. If you can’t go to the game, catch all of the action on D&D Sports Network.
