UPike Falls To Milligan In Soccer Season Finale

UPike was shut out at home, 10-0, in season finale against Milligan University.

UPike was out shot by Milligan, 11-0, in the first half and things didn’t change in the second half as Milligan preceded to out shoot them again, 17-2.

UPike had 11 saves to Milligan’s 1, Milligan’s backline defenders really helped keep the pressure on the Bears all game.

Gabriel Torres lead the team in saves with 8 saves and 9 goals allowed. Torres played 79 minutes in this matchup while Jackson Samuel played 11 minutes and had 2 saves and 1 goal allowed.

Out of the 2 shots the Bears took this game one of them was on goal and that shot was took by Paulo Castillo who came off the bench in this matchup. The other shot was took by starting defender Jon Barragan. These were the only 2 shots that were taken by the Bears and they both occurred in the second half, no shots were attempted in the first 45’.

This game would end The UPike Bears Men’s Soccer team season. The Bears finished the season 5-10-3 and 2-8-3 in their conference matches.
