Written By: Logan Barker

Friday afternoon, the UPike Bears took a 7-0 loss to the St Andrews Knights on the road.

UPike came into this game looking to add another win on their record after their 3 game losing streak, but they were sadly disappointed once more as they took another tough loss on the road to St Andrews. The last win the Bears came home with was on October 7th against Kentucky Christian University on the road.

UPike used two different goalkeepers against the Knights. Goalkeeper Adam Dimillo had 6 saves in the matchup with 7 goals allowed. Dimillo played 77 minutes and then goalkeeper Gabriel Torres subbed into the game. Torres played 13 minutes and had 0 goals allowed with an additional 3 saves.

The Bears took a total of 5 shots during the game. Daron Baumann, Anthony Aguilar, Alex Ward, Ivan Perez and Alejandro Rodriguez all took a shot each. Baumann’s and Anthony’s shots were both on goal.

UPike now falls to (5-9-2) on the season, while St Andrews will advance to (7-4-2) on the season. The Bears will play again on October 28th at 5 pm against the Milligan Buffaloes at home.
