Friday Night Football Preview: Fleming County Travels To Greenup County

The Fleming County Panthers (6-3) have won their last two games and are looking to extend their current winning streak to 3 when they travel to Greenup County this Friday, Oct. 27th. The Panthers are averaging 38.5 points in their last two games while only allowing an average of 3.5 points in those 2 games.

The Greenup County Musketeers (5-4) are coming off a 55-19 win over Rowan County and are looking to maintain that momentum as they head toward the playoffs. The win over Rowan County snapped a 3-game losing streak. The Musketeers now look to get a winning streak started.

The Musketeers are averaging 28.4 points per game this season, while allowing 33.9 points per game. The Musketeers offense is led by QB, Tyson Sammons. Sammons has completed 71 of 145 passes for 1,255 yards and 11 touchdowns. Sammons also leads the team’s rushing attack. He has 155 carries for 1,293 yards and 20 touchdowns.

Aiden Gue has 24 receptions for 553 yards and 7 touchdown receptions for the Musketeers. Drew Boggs has 23 receptions for 329 yards and 2 touchdown receptions this season.

The Fleming County Panthers will test the defense of the Musketeers. The Panthers enter the game averaging 31 points per game this season, while only allowing 16.2 points per game.

The Panthers have been led this season by Austin Trent. Trent has 152 carries for 897 yards and 9 rushing touchdowns this season. Landon Johnson joins Trent in the backfield and has really been stellar the past couple of weeks. Johnson has 25 carries for 453 yards and 6 rushing Touchdowns.

Nate Martin has completed 66 of 115 passes for 992 yards and 9 touchdowns. However, Martin has also thrown 7 interceptions this season. Martin played well last week, completing 8 of 9 passes for 128 yards and 2 touchdowns. He will look to build off that game and help lead the Panthers to their 7th win of the season.
