The Harts Middle School Lions cruised to a 48-0 win against Hamlin last Thursday to cement their place in the Boone-Lincoln Conference Championship Game. Harts was led on offense by Easton Bender who had 11 carries for 87 yards and a rushing touchdown. Bender also added 2 catches for 43 yards and a receiving touchdown as well.
Dylan Farmer added 9 carries for 94 yards and a TD on the ground and added one catch for 23 yards and a receiving touchdown also. Quarterback Archer Altizer finished 6 of 10 passing for 91 yards and two TDs. Kayson Harless added 6 rushes for 14 yards and one catch for 4 yards. Jaxon Vance added 3 catches for 21 yards and a touchdown. Kyler Blair had 2 rushes for 9 yards, Levi Riffe also added 1 carry for 14 yards and a touchdown. Easton Sperry had one rush attempt for 3 yards, including a conversion. Alex Hatfield had 3 carries for 12 yards and a conversion as well, and Easton Critchley had two carries for 13 yards.
Defensively for the Lions, Eli Sperry was dominate with 9 solo tackles, 2 sacks, a fumble recovery and a blocked punt. Kyler Blair also had a big night on defense as he had an interception that he took back for a touchdown.
With the win, Harts will now host Guyan Valley in a big time rematch, this time for the Boone-Lincoln Conference Championship. Harts won the first meeting this season 14-12 on the road at Guyan Valley.
