Chapmanville Middle moved to 7-1 last Thursday as they defeated Ripley 57-6. The Tigers were in control from start to finish as they gained over 300 yards on offense, led on the ground by Jacob Maynard who finished with 6 carries for 108 yards and 2 touchdowns.
Jaxson Ellison added 8 carries for 52 yards and a TD. Sawyer Dalton, Cooper Perry, Mattox Sartin, and Colton Farley also carried the ball for the Tigers in their impressive performance. Quarterback Dakota Dalton finished 6 of 10 through the air for 70 yards and a touchdown pass. Mattox Sartin had 3 catches for 45 yards. Jacob Vance had 2 catches for 15 yards, and David Browning added one catch for 10 yards.
Defensively, the Tigers continued their dominate performance, this time led by Cooper Perry who had 5 total tackles and an interception returned for a touchdown from 27 yards out. Tony Adkins added 5 total tackles as did Jacob Maynard and Sawyer Dalton. David Browning had two tackles and a sack. Preston Collins, Caleb Robinette, Colton Farley, Mattox Sartin, Jaxton Ellison, Keegan Craddock, Dakota Dalton, and Gunner Curry all got into the stat column on defense as well.
Chapmanville Middle will be back in action on Thursday when they will host Oceana for the Black Diamond Conference Championship game.
