The Wayne Pioneers had four touchdown passes from Fisher Fry as they rolled past the Sissonville Indians, 49-7, on Friday in Sissonville.
The Pioneers (4-4) jumped on the scoreboard in the first quarter when Colton Mathis scored on a 31-yard run for a 6-0 lead.
The score remained the same until the second quarter when Fisher Fry threw a 30-yard touchdown pass to Justin Perry. Mathis then scored on a 1-yard touchdown run. James Spradlin then caught a 24-yard touchdown pass for a 28-0 lead at the half.
Jaxson Damron opened up the scoring in the third period for Wayne on a 14-yard touchdown run. The Pioneers then got a safety on a bad snap to make it a 37-0 score. Kadien Hayton then caught a 9-yard pass from Fry and a 43-0 advantage. Sissonville finally got on the board, but Jarrod Perry scored on a 15-yard touchdown pass from Fry for the final score of the game.
Fry had a perfect game under center, completing 12-of-12 passes for 173 yards and 4 touchdowns. He also had 3 carries for 25 yards.
Mathis had 6 carries for 91 yards and 2 touchdowns. Damron tallied 9 carries for 86 yards and 1 touchdown. Jarrod Perry had 3 rushing attempts for 37 yards. Hayton had 3 carries for 24 yards. Ronnie Staley had 1 carry for 22 yards.
Mathis caught 1 pass for 45 yards. Spradlin caught 2 passes for 36 yards and 1 touchdown. Justin Perry had 1 catch for 30 yards and 1 touchdown. Kade Estep caught 3 passes for 28 yards. Jarrod Perry had 1 catch for 15 yards with 1 touchdown.
Wayne will next play at home on Friday in a 7 pm clash with Logan.
