The 3rd ranked (Class AA) Scott Skyhawks look to keep their undefeated season going when they travel to Poca and take on the Dots on Friday night.
The Skyhawks (7-0) are led by star quarterback Matt Frye. This season, Fry has torched defenses, completing 115-of-165 passes for 2,371 yards, 28 touchdowns and 6 interceptions. He also has 6 rushing touchdowns.
Frye has several talented receivers to pass the ball to, including Carson Brinegar. This season, Brinegar has 48 receptions for 922 yards and 11 touchdowns. Brayden Clark has 24 catches for 667 yards and 8 touchdowns. Isaiah Bush has 27 receptions for 547 yards and 8 touchdowns.
Poca (3-4) has had an up and down season. The Dots are coming off a 65-0 loss to Winfield and will need to play better to be in the game with the high powered Skyhawk offense.
The Dots will rely heavily on the legs of Preston Bonnett and use a ground control game to keep the Skyhawks’ offense off the field.
This should be an exciting game featuring one of the best teams in the state. The opening kick is set for 7 pm.
